artist statement

Seed
noun
1 a flowering plant's unit of reproduction, capable of developing into another such plant.

Here seed may likewise suggest itself as being the reproductive unit of a reinforced concrete construct.

With roots already penetrating the earth, it is being sown where it presently rests and appears locked in a physical struggle against the tree.

Will it eventually win over and correct itself to grow into some tall glass clad monolith now so generic across CBD skylines around the world, standing vase-like in the name of wealth handlers, the undisputed priests of today's faith.

"Growth!" is what they seem to so efficiently preach.

"At what cost?" some dare ask.
